Dog Training

I was reading an article I found on Pinterest this weekend and it said that Collies are one of the easiest dogs to train. I looked at Daphne laying on the floor and decided it was time for her to learn some tricks. I turned to Google and found 52 Tricks to Teach Your Dog. I prefer not to use a clicker like the article suggest so I just use hand motions and that seems to work. She already has a couple of these down and I can't wait to teach her more.

How can you not love this face

Such a lady

Yes I realize she is a bit of a hot mess right now but I promise she will be going to the groomer this weekend.

Have you ever attempt to train an animal on your own?

    1. She really is. I love her to death and she is pretty much queen of the house.

  2. Cute!! Girl dogs can be so lady-like! :) When we trained our dog, we went to a place (mandatory rule when we adopted her) that used hand signals and praise, no treats. She did great, and still responds to them 4 years later!

    1. That's wonderful. For some reason the clicker noise annoys me so I am glad to her that hand signals work.
