Summer lovin
You get spoiled living in Vegas especially during the winter time. Most people will ask me if I miss the four seasons and I always say no. I love the summer and I love the dry heat that Vegas has. Last week we we had a cold front where the highs were in the upper 30s and the lows were in the 20s. Brrrrr. Most of the nation would have enjoyed our weather, but it was too cold for me. I remember the winters in Missouri and I loved it when it would finally hit 30, I felt like I didn't need a jacket. You better believe that when the cold front came I was wearing 2 jackets, gloves, a scarf and a hat. Yeah I know I am ridiculous and I acclimate very quickly. I am ready for summer though. I love how standing in the sun feels like it warms your bones and just being able to walk outside and not feel like a marshmallow because you are wearing so many layers.

I totally know what you mean about the sun warming your bones. :) Although Vegas in the summer is a bit TOO hot for me, I think spring would be amazing. My friends and I are trying to plan a trip there in May, but for some reason plane tickets are like $400 right now!! That's so steep. :) Have a great weekend!

DeleteI'm loving our winter right now because it's so mild. We had some miraculous snow this week, but it barely stuck for a few hours because temps have barely gotten below 30. The summer here (alabama) was so humid and exhausting, especially if I was running outside. Ughh! But I love being able to play outside with the kids more often.
ReplyDeleteI despise humidity and I am glad we don't have it here. I think everyone is having a mild winter. I am enjoying it before it gets really hot.
DeleteI know exactly what you mean about the winter weather in the deserts. There is a big difference between the 105 degree summer days and 55 degree winter days. When it gets cold it gets COLD!
